Once AuroPro is installed and your administrator account is set up, follow this workflow to begin using the application.

Review your school name in System Settings and select the interface theme your team prefers.

Who is AuroPro for?
AuroPro is designed for school administrators, teachers, and accountants who manage student records, fees, academic results, attendance, and staff administration.
Does AuroPro run in a web browser?
The main AuroPro software is a desktop application, with an Android Teacher Hub for teachers’ phones. This website introduces the software and will provide its installer when it is available.
Does everyday work require internet access?
The main desktop application stores records on your computer and performs its main record-keeping tasks locally. Checking for updates and downloading newer versions require an internet connection. Contact us for connection and setup requirements for the Android Teacher Hub and SMS features.
Which reports can I save as PDF?
AuroPro includes PDF exports for terminal and cumulative student reports, student payment statements, staff reports, payslips, and income summaries.
Are automatic backups and SMS alerts available?
Yes. Daily automatic backups, SMS payment confirmations, and outstanding fee reminders are now working features in AuroPro.
What can teachers do in the Android Teacher Hub?
Teachers can mark the class register and record students’ marks on their Android phones. These updates are reflected in the administrative account in the main AuroPro software. Contact us for Teacher Hub access and setup information.
Can I configure SMS and cloud backups?
System Settings includes SMS provider, API key, and sender ID configuration, along with Google Drive account linking, a backup folder setting, and a cloud database restore option. Contact us for setup guidance.
Do any records leave the school computer?
Core desktop processing happens locally. Teacher Hub synchronises attendance and marks, SMS providers receive phone numbers and message content, and optional Google Drive backups store copies in the configured cloud account. Read our data-handling overview and contact us for setup-specific details.
Can everyone access the same information?
AuroPro has administrator, teacher, and accountant roles. Teachers have class-specific access, while administrative and financial sections are available according to the user's role.

PRIVACY & DATA HANDLING

Clear responsibilities.
The following describes AuroPro’s data handling as supplied by its developer. It is product information, not an independent security certification or a completed compliance audit. Connected services depend on your school’s configuration.
Local student records
The desktop application stores student biographical information, grades, and fee records in a local SQLite database on the school’s computer. Core record processing, grade calculations, and PDF report generation take place locally.
Schools should control access to the computer, database files, exported reports, and backup locations. Application sign-in does not by itself prevent someone with direct access to the database file from reading it.
Access by staff role
According to the developer, teachers can access and update records, marks, and registers for their assigned classes. School-wide financial ledgers, fee arrears, payroll, and executive reports are restricted to authorised Administrator and Accountant roles.
Schools should assign each staff member an appropriate account and review access when responsibilities change.
Guardian contact details
Parent and guardian phone numbers are linked to student records in the local database and used for authorised records and school communications. The developer reports that AuroPro does not synchronise a device’s address book with Google Contacts or iCloud.
Authorised exports and printed reports may contain contact details and should be handled with the same care as the database.
Teacher Hub synchronisation
The Android Teacher Hub sends classroom attendance and marks into the main AuroPro administrative account. This connected workflow is separate from device address-book synchronisation.
Contact us before rollout for details of the connection setup, where synchronisation data is processed, and which records teachers can access.
Backups and recovery
AuroPro includes daily automatic backups. The developer also describes timestamped database copies to a school’s chosen storage. Optional Google Drive linking and cloud restoration are available through System Settings.
When cloud backup is configured, copies of school records leave the local computer for the selected cloud account. Schools should restrict access to backups, choose appropriate retention, and test restoration. No backup method guarantees against every form of data loss.
SMS notifications
SMS messages are sent through the configured provider, such as Arkesel or Hubtel. The provider receives the recipient’s phone number and message content, which can include payment or school information.
The developer reports HTTPS API transmission and local handling of gateway credentials. HTTPS protects the API connection; it does not make the delivered SMS end-to-end encrypted. Schools should consider message content, recipient accuracy, and the provider’s data-handling terms.
